Cookie Policy
How this website uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
Last updated: 14 June 2026
1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how OptimAIze ("we", "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser local storage, on this website. It should be read together with our Data Protection Policy. Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data placed on your device that allow a website to remember information about your visit.
2. Our approach
We keep this website deliberately lightweight. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing or social media trackers. We currently do not run analytics. The only data we store on your device is what is needed to make the site work and to remember your display and language choices.
3. What we store on your device
Rather than traditional cookies, this site uses your browser's local storage for a small number of preferences. This information stays in your browser, is not transmitted to us automatically, and is classed as strictly necessary or functional.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| optimaize-lang | Functional (local storage) | Remembers the display language you selected. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
| optimaize-i18n-cache | Functional (local storage) | Caches automated translations of page text so the site loads faster and makes fewer translation requests. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
4. Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties that may process technical data (such as your IP address) when their resources load:
- Google Fonts: we load web fonts from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) so the site renders in our brand typefaces. Google may receive your IP address as part of this request.
- MyMemory translation service: when you select a non-English language, the text to be translated is sent to MyMemory (api.mymemory.translated.net) to generate an automated translation. If you do not use the language switcher, no request is made to this service.
These providers act under their own privacy terms. We recommend reviewing their policies if you would like more detail on their processing.
5. Do we need your consent?
Under the EU ePrivacy rules and GDPR, strictly necessary and basic functional storage that you actively request (such as remembering your theme or language choice) does not require prior consent. Because we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking technologies, we do not display a tracking-consent banner. Should we introduce such technologies in future, we will update this policy and request your consent where the law requires it.
6. Managing and deleting stored data
You can delete or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers also let you browse in a private/incognito mode. Clearing this site's storage will reset your theme and language preferences and remove the translation cache, but will not otherwise affect your ability to use the site.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology or law. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised.
