1. What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how OptimAIze ("we", "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser local storage, on this website. It should be read together with our Data Protection Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more generally. Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data placed on your device that allow a website, or a third party whose content is embedded in it, to remember information about your visit.

It also explains, in section 5 of our Data Protection Policy, the separate consent you give when you subscribe to our newsletter, and how to withdraw it. That consent is legally distinct from the cookie choices you make in the banner, and the two are withdrawn in different ways.

2. Our approach

We keep this website deliberately lightweight. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, retargeting pixels, or social media trackers, and we do not sell or share what we learn about your visit with advertisers.

That said, the site is not a closed system. Six third parties are involved in running it, and each of them may receive some data when you visit:

• Klaviyo: our email marketing platform. It records which pages you view on this site so that the newsletter we send is relevant to what you were actually reading rather than generic. It is optional. It runs only if you accept the Marketing category in the banner shown on your first visit, and everything on this site works identically if you decline.
• Calendly: the scheduling tool embedded on our Book a Call page. It loads only on that page.
• DeepL: our automated translation engine, reached through a translation proxy we operate ourselves. It is contacted only if you use the language switcher.
• Translated S.r.l. (MyMemory): the fallback translation engine, used only when DeepL does not answer.
• Google Fonts: the source of the typefaces the site is rendered in.
• Cookiebot (Usercentrics): the consent platform that shows the banner and records your choice.

In addition, our hosting platform (GoDaddy) places its own traffic and performance cookies, which are listed in section 3.

The remainder is either strictly necessary to run the site, a preference you actively asked for (such as your display language), a service you explicitly requested by opening the page it sits on (the scheduler), or traffic statistics generated by the platform itself rather than by us.

3. What we store on your device

The list below is generated automatically by our consent platform from a recurring scan of this website, so it reflects what is actually running rather than what we last remembered to write down. It shows every cookie and similar technology in use, its category, its purpose and how long it lasts.

Note on the hosting platform cookies. The _tccl_visitor, _tccl_visit and _scc_session cookies are placed by the script our hosting provider injects into every page it serves. They are a property of the hosting platform rather than of anything we built, and they are set when a page loads. We do not use them for advertising, we do not read them ourselves, and they are not linked to your email address or to any other identifier we hold.

Note on Calendly cookies. Because the scheduler runs inside an embedded frame served from calendly.com, its cookies are set in Calendly's own domain and cannot be enumerated from ours. Calendly's cookie notice, shown inside the widget and linked from it, is the authoritative list. They are set only if you open the Book a call page.

Browser local storage. Alongside the cookies above, this site uses browser local storage for two functional preferences. These are not cookies and would not appear in a cookie scan: optimaize-lang, which remembers the display language you selected, and optimaize-i18n-cache-v2-deepl, which caches automated translations so pages load faster and fewer translation requests are made. Both persist until you clear your browser storage. Neither requires consent, because each stores only a preference you actively asked for by using the language switcher.

Klaviyo's identifier is placed only after you allow the Marketing category. Until then, and permanently if you refuse, the Klaviyo script is blocked from loading at all, no request is made to Klaviyo and no identifier is stored. This is enforced technically by the consent platform, not merely as a matter of policy.

4. Third-party services

Some features rely on third parties that may process technical data (such as your IP address) when their resources load:

• Klaviyo (Klaviyo, Inc., United States): our email marketing platform. It provides the onsite tracking described above, and it receives your email address when you subscribe to our briefing. Onsite tracking only loads with your consent; the newsletter signup only sends data when you submit the form yourself. See Klaviyo's privacy notice.
• Calendly (Calendly LLC, United States): powers the booking widget on our Book a call page. It is embedded on that page only, and it sets its own cookies when the widget loads in order to run the scheduling session. We treat those cookies as strictly necessary rather than optional, because the scheduler is the service you asked for by opening that page, without them the booking cannot function. They are therefore not blocked by the consent banner, and Calendly's own cookie notice is shown inside the widget. If you would rather not load Calendly at all, simply do not open the booking page; you can reach us at office@optimaize.pro instead. See Calendly's privacy notice.
• Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S, Denmark): provides the consent banner, the cookie list above, and the record of the choice you made. It loads on every page because it is the mechanism that enforces that choice. See Cookiebot's privacy policy.
• Google Fonts: we load web fonts from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) so the site renders in our brand typefaces. Google may receive your IP address as part of this request.
• Automated translation: when you select a language other than English, the visible text of the page is sent away to be translated. It goes to our own translation proxy, hosted on Cloudflare, which forwards it to DeepL SE (Germany). If that is unavailable, the site falls back to MyMemory, operated by Translated S.r.l. (Italy), at api.mymemory.translated.net; note that MyMemory's free service contributes submitted text to a public translation memory, which is why we send it only page text that is already published here. If neither service answers, the page simply stays in English. Only text already visible on the page is sent. Nothing you type into a form is ever transmitted this way. If you do not use the language switcher, no request is made to either service.
• GoDaddy (GoDaddy.com, LLC / Host Europe GmbH): our hosting provider. As well as serving the site, the platform injects its own traffic and performance measurement script into every page and sets the cookies listed in Section 3. Server logs, which include IP addresses, are also generated by the platform in the ordinary course of hosting.

These providers act under their own privacy terms. We recommend reviewing their policies if you would like more detail on their processing. Where a provider is based outside the European Economic Area, the safeguards described in section 7 of our Data Protection Policy apply.

5. Consent for cookies, and how to change your mind

Under the EU ePrivacy rules and the GDPR, strictly necessary storage and functional storage you actively request (such as remembering your language choice) do not require prior consent. Marketing and tracking technologies do.

So on your first visit we show a consent banner, provided by Cookiebot, offering a choice per category: Necessary, Preferences, Statistics and Marketing. Necessary is always active because the site cannot run without it. Every other category is off until you switch it on, and accepting is made no easier or more prominent than refusing. Scripts in a category you have not allowed, including Klaviyo's, are blocked from loading at all, so ignoring the banner and simply continuing to browse means no tracking takes place.

Your choice is stored in a cookie named CookieConsent on your own device and is remembered for twelve months, after which we ask again. You can change or withdraw it at any time by selecting Cookie settings here or in the footer of any page. Withdrawal takes effect immediately: the affected scripts stop loading from that point on. Data already collected while consent was active is handled as described in our Data Protection Policy, and you can ask us to delete it.

Through Cookiebot, we keep a record of each consent decision, which categories were allowed, when, and against which version of this notice, so that we can demonstrate that consent was given, as GDPR Article 7(1) requires. Refusals are recorded on the same basis, because that is what shows the refusal was honoured.

6. Managing and deleting stored data

You can delete or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers also let you browse in a private/incognito mode. Clearing this site's storage will reset your language preference, remove the translation cache and erase your consent choice, so the banner will appear again on your next visit. It will not otherwise affect your ability to use the site.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology or law. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised.
